Nate Diaz responds to Conor McGregor, Tony Ferguson with his own GTA-inspired post

By Tom Taylor - October 19, 2017

Over the last few weeks, UFC undisputed lightweight champ Conor McGregor and interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson have each shared some Grand Theft Auto inspired pictures to their social media channels.

McGregor was first to do so. In his post, he appeared to address Ferguson by using the simple caption “Tony.”

Ferguson then responded in kind, caption his post “Zero fucks, defend or vacate MF’er.”

Now, Nate Diaz has also shared a Grand Theft Auto inspired picture to his Instagram page. Diaz, who is the only man to beat McGregor in the Octagon, has also been the victim of Tony Ferguson callouts in the past. Unlike McGregor and Ferguson, Diaz left his image without a caption, leaving us to speculate as to what it all means. Our guess? He’s reminding the lightweight division’s top dogs that they are still in his sights.

Nate Diaz has not fought since August 2016 when he came up short in a rematch with Conor McGregor, losing a majority decision. In his next most recent fight, he authored a second round submission win over McGregor in a 2016 Upset of the Year contender.

Over the last few weeks, Diaz has been a frontrunner in the search for McGregor’s next opponent. That said, a title unifying showdown between McGregor and Ferguson is now looking more and more likely. Diaz might have to wait his turn.
