Did Nate Diaz taunt Conor McGregor in the middle of the UFC 200 press conference?
The initial headlining bout for UFC 200 is no longer an option, according to the UFC. Conor McGregor will not be fighting Nate Diaz in their non-title welterweight rematch as originally planned.
Instead, Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones will fight in the main event of UFC 200 for the undisputed UFC light heavyweight title.
The change of plans came when McGregor declined to take part in the media obligations for UFC 200 to train for the rematch with Diaz, which is now off the table. Diaz showed up in Las Vegas last week for media appearances for UFC 200 with a chance that he may still fight on the card. However, Diaz was not present on Wednesday in New York at the presser in the Madison Square Garden.
Diaz did manage to make some noise in the middle of the press conference even as Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones took the spotlight in New York. Diaz posted a photo to his Instagram account with the caption saying, “He was never in it ..”
