NSAC releases McGregor and Diaz drug tests results from UFC 202
“Everybody’s on steroids.”
Those were the accusatory words infamously uttered by Nate Diaz in the buildup to his UFC 196 submission win over Conor McGregor.
As it turns out, however, Diaz’s claim is not accurate. While steroid abuse is certainly a real problem in MMA, neither he nor McGregor are using them. So no, not everybody is on steroids.
Not only did both Diaz and McGregor’s tests come back clean in the wake of UFC 196, but they also came back clean following the pair’s UFC 202 rematch, which saw McGregor even the score with an exciting, majority decision win.
This news comes from Erik Magraken, a British Columbia based lawyer and combat sports law expert.

At the moment, it’s not known what’s next for Diaz or McGregor. While many parties seem interested in a trilogy fight between the two rivals, this course doesn’t seem to interest Diaz. McGregor, meanwhile, appears to be poised for a clash with lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, possibly at UFC 205 in New York City this November 12.
Who do you want to see the two fighters take on next? Sound off, PENN nation!
