Khamzat Chimaev doesn’t think Nate Diaz will fight him. For months now, it has been made clear that the UFC is trying to book Chimaev vs. Diaz in what would be a massive fight as both men are big stars. However, it hasn’t come to fruition and according to the Swede it has never actually been close to happening. Chimaev says that is because Diaz is scared of him and if they do fight, he vows to smash him.

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier is tired of waiting around to fight. ‘The Diamond’ recently confirmed that he’s signed on to fight Nate Diaz twice this calendar year, but so far nothing has been booked. Poirier has been out of action since December 2021, a loss to Charles Oliveira. Following the defeat, he was quickly linked to a fight with fellow star Nate Diaz. Both men agreed to the fight multiple times on Twitter.

Chimaev scored a victory over Gilbert Burns in the biggest test of his career via unanimous decision. It appears the UFC is interested in making Nate Diaz vs. Khamzat Chimaev for UFC 276. The UFC war room has a list of all the upcoming events and fights on those cards, and the room is considered to be top-secret. Yet, when Dana White recently did The Pivot podcast, the interview was held in the war room. During the interview, some of the future fights were displayed on the board and one of the biggest was Nate Diaz vs. Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 276.
