His brother Nick Diaz, however, does not seem to have much interest in fighting again. The elder Diaz brother was asked about a potential comeback in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani. He claimed he has no interest in fighting again, but added that it’s not really up to him.

One of the most popular fighters in the UFC may be on his way back to the Octagon. The last time we saw Nick Diaz fight was in January 2015 where he suffered a decision loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 183. The bout was later ruled a no-contest, this after both men failed drug tests. It’s been over four years since then and we haven’t heard much fight news from the Diaz camp. There were rumors of a Jorge Masvidal matchup back at UFC 235 in March, but that fight never happened. We continue to wait and see if Nick Diaz will ever return, and now, finally, it appears there’s some light at the end of the tunnel.

Not everybody, however, has love for the former welterweight and middleweight champ.

Back in May of 2018, UFC star Nick Diaz was arrested after a woman claiming to be his on-again, off-again girlfriend accused him of assaulting her. Although Diaz has since been cleared of all wrongdoing, he was still arrested on the night of this ordeal. MMAjunkie has obtained the police bodycam footage from the night of Diaz’s arrest, and it shows the fighter being compliant, obedient, and adamant that he is innocent.
