Ahmed Mujtaba has one goal in mind at ONE Fight Night 16 on Prime Video this November 3 — to score the biggest win of his professional career.

He is set to duke it out with #4-ranked lightweight MMA contender Halil Amir. The three-round bout will air live in U.S. primetime from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Amir is no ordinary opponent. Hailing from Turkey, he owns a pristine 9-0 record and an impressive 89 percent finishing rate.

The path to victory over an adversary of Amir’s caliber is undeniably challenging, and it’s clear that the odds are stacked against Mujtaba.

But in the face of such adversity, Mujtaba remains undaunted. In fact, the Pakistani is confident that he possesses the tools necessary to hand Amir his first career defeat.

“It’s going to be a very exciting fight because I know he’s going to come at me very hard. I also know that I go very hard because I have that power of knocking guys out, I’m good on the ground, and I have very good skills in wrestling,” Mujtaba said.

Mujtaba acknowledges Amir’s prowess but is equally committed to seeking his own opportunity to end the fight on his terms.

“I’ve seen Amir’s fights, and he’s good. He’s got some good power in his hands. He’s a good martial artist. We will see what he brings to the ring this time. I have my arsenal geared up as well, so it will be a good fight,” Mujtaba said.

“If I get a chance to knock him out, I’ll knock him out. If I get the chance to submit him, I’ll submit him. It depends on the situation. We just have to be very calm, and we will see where it will go.”

Great reward awaits Ahmed Mujtaba if he beats Halil Amir

Ahmed Mujtaba knows that a victory over Halil Amir at ONE Fight Night 16 on Prime Video could bring substantial rewards.

A triumph will not only put him back on the winning track but could also earn him a spot in the lightweight MMA rankings.

“Every fight is a big fight. I’ve never backed down from any opportunity given by ONE Championship. I’ve always fought tough guys,” he said.

“This is a big opportunity for me as well. My eyes are on the ONE Championship belt, and sooner or later, I’ll be getting it.”
