Last weekend, ONE Championship blazed a trail of excitement in Thailand’s bustling capital city of Bangkok when it held its ONE: KINGDOM OF HEROES event — the promotion’s biggest show to date at the Impact Arena. What ensued was a night of non-stop martial arts action, the likes of which ONE has become well known for.

Going into the event, the Impact Arena flowed with a unique energy that immediately gave off the impression that it was undoubtedly a special night. When the statistics began to roll in, it was evidently clear that ONE: KINGDOM OF HEROES was indeed a huge success.

ONE Championship released data early Friday that the event posted record-setting figures, drawing in over 25 million viewers from all around the world. According to reputable organizations Nielsen, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, ONE: KINGDOM OF HEROES garnered excellent viewership statistics from its potential 1.7 billion viewers a night across 138 countries.

Part of the appeal of the event was that it showcased a wide spectrum of martial arts offerings which included authentic Muay Thai, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and for the first time ever, world-class boxing. Needless to say, ONE Championship certainly brought in the best of all worlds.

In the evening’s main event, The Ring Magazine and defending two-time WBC Super Flyweight World Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai of Thailand successfully defended his belt, defeating opponent Iran “MagnifiKO” Diaz of Mexico to a 12-round unanimous decision. This is the first time ONE Championship has drawn attention from global boxing fans, and through the ONE Super App, was able to offer world-class boxing absolutely free.

Not only that, but the promotion also brought to light staggering social media metrics that indicate ONE’s immense growth in all areas of media. To date, ONE Championship has garnered a staggering 30 billion impressions across all social media platforms, while also boasting of 4.2 billion video views.

These numbers are not only accurate, but they are also continuously accelerating due to the rise of popularity of martial arts in Asia, ONE Championship in particular. More great things to come for this incredible organization, bringing martial arts to the forefront.

ONE Championship returns on Friday, 26 October, when martial arts superstar “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang returns home to Yangon, Myanmar to headline ONE: PURSUIT OF GREATNESS at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium. Aung La is set to defend his ONE Middleweight World Title against Lebanon’s Mohammad Karaki.
