The ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix will wrap up at ONE: Century – Part 1 on Sunday, October 13 in Tokyo (11pm ET Saturday on TNT in the United States), as finalists Saygid Guseyn “Dagi” Arslanaliev and Eddie Alvarez were slated to collide on the card. Regrettably, Alvarez has been forced out of this massive showdown with an injury.

John Lineker is currently dialed in on his ONE Championship debut, which will pit him against the ferocious Muin Gafurov at ONE: Dawn of Valor in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 25. Yet that doesn’t mean he’s not thinking about his future under the ONE banner. Lineker’s ONE debut will occur in the 145-pound ONE bantamweight division. That being said, one of the biggest fights available to him in ONE Championship would be a collision with fellow UFC veteran Demetrious Johnson, who calls the 135-pound ONE flyweight division home.

Despite this rough patch, Thani’s first contest of the year was a big one. In June, he was tasked with welcoming Japanese MMA legend Yoshihiro Akiyama to the ONE Championship cage.

Samy Sana has already pulled off one improbable victory during the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix. On 13 October in Tokyo, Sana will be faced with his toughest challenge since signing with ONE Championship.  He’ll face kickboxing legend Giorgio Petrosyan in the final with the USD $1 million prize on the line and the right to call himself the first-ever ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion. The Sana-Petrosyan match is just one bout on a stacked, two-card event emanating from the iconic Ryogoku Kokugikan.

No one in the know would dispute a claim that Singtongnoi Por Telakun is one of the greatest Muay Thai kickboxers of his era. His record of 220-80 speaks for itself, and the multiple world championships he’s won only further validate his position as an all-time great.  As spectacular as his accomplishments in competition are, those battles pale in comparison to his victory outside of the ring. Singtongnoi Por Telakun is a cancer survivor, and when you roll his entire story into one complex thought, it is among the most inspirational you’ll ever hear.

There has never been any doubt that the upcoming ONE: Century card, the 100th ONE Championship event, will be a big one. What does come as a surprise is that this landmark event, scheduled for October 13 in Tokyo, will actually be composed of two full-scale cards. ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced this exciting news on social media on Monday morning (h/t Asian Persuasion MMA).

On Friday, ONE Championship returned to Bangkok, Thailand, with the stacked ONE: Dreams of Gold card. The card was topped by a ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title bout between champion Petchdam Petchyindee Academy and challenger Ilias Ennahachi, and featured the semifinals of the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix as Giorgio Petrosyan rematched Smokin’ Jo Nattawut and Samy Sana took on Dzhabar Askerov. It also included the sophomore MMA bout of ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex, who took on Indian boxing specialist Asha Roka.
