Paddy Pimblett is brimming with confidence after scoring a first round TKO victory over Luigi Vendramini in his UFC debut. The former Cage Warriors champion, Pimblett (17-3 MMA), had entered today’s lightweight contest sporting a two-fight winning streak. In his most previous effort this past March, ‘The Baddy’ had earned a first round submission victory over Davide Martinez.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 36 event, a nine-bout fight card headlined by Derek Brunson vs. Darren Till. The highly anticipated middleweight main event proved to be a rather one sided affair. Derek Brunson was able to utilize his strong wrestling skills to smother Darren Till. The UFC veteran would land a plethora of ground and pound before ultimately finishing the Liverpool native off with a rear-naked choke in round three.

Paddy Pimblett is ready to finally make his UFC debut. Pimblett was offered UFC contracts when he was 21 and 23 but he turned them down as he didn’t feel he was ready. Now, he believes he is ready to compete and make a run to the top of the lightweight division. The fan-favorite will make his Octagon debut at UFC Vegas 36 on Saturday against Luigi Vendramini. Although Vendramini has fought a couple of times in the UFC, Pimblett says he didn’t know who he was.

Paddy Pimblett is the latest in a long line of UFC fighters that have expressed an interest in fighting Jake Paul. Pimblett has yet to even have his first fight in the UFC but the Brit arrives with a cult following and has been making plenty of headlines in recent weeks. The Liverpudlian boasts a 16-3 record and was the lightweight champion in Cage Warriors.

Paddy Pimblett has been making plenty of headlines ahead of his UFC debut. The former Cage Warriors champion has never been shy about speaking his mind, and has now fired shots at Khabib Nurmagomedov following ‘the Eagle’s’ comments about his appearance on Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ podcast. With Nurmagomedov now retired, the chances of Pimblett getting to fight him one day seem remote. They are however, in the same division. With that in mind, perhaps the Liverpool-native is seeking to plant the seed in case there is a chance of one day facing the Dagestani icon.

Former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Paddy Pimblett has officially signed a new free-agent contract with the UFC. Pimblett first appeared on the UFC fan rankings last week, which hinted that he could be signing with the promotion soon. Sure enough, the UFC has inked the former Cage Warriors star to a new deal. On Monday, the UFC officially announced on its social media pages that Pimblett has signed a contract to fight in the Octagon. Check it out below.
