Phil Davis, not Corey Anderson, gets next Bellator title shot against Vadim Nemkov
Adam Martin - November 10, 2020
Bellator president Scott Coker said that Phil Davis, and not Corey Anderson, will get the next title shot against 205lbs champ Vadim Nemkov. After Anderson dominated Melvin Manhoef in his Bellator debut, many fans and media thought he could jump past Davis for the next title shot against Nemkov, who will be making his first title defense since knocking out Ryan Bader. However, it appears as though Bellator has decided to go with Davis instead of Anderson for the next title shot.
Corey Anderson hoping for Vadim Nemkov or Phil Davis next after victorious Bellator debut
Adam Martin - November 5, 2020
Light heavyweight Corey Anderson is hoping to fight Vadim Nemkov or Phil Davis next after a victorious Bellator debut over Melvin Manhoef. Anderson was a big free-agent signing after mutually parting with ways with the UFC this past summer. A former top-five light heavyweight in the UFC, Anderson was matched up against Manhoef for his debut in the Bellator cage. On paper, it looked like a squash match between a young, elite 205lber and an aging 44-year-old fighter in Manhoef, and it played out just like that in the cage as Anderson won via vicious second-round TKO.

Bellator light heavyweight champ Phil Davis wants to apologize to the fans
Tom Taylor - June 21, 2017
On June 24, in the main event of Bellator 180 (which serves as the undercard of the stacked Bellator NYC event), light heavyweight champion Phil Davis will attempt to defend his title against one of the newer members of the Bellator roster, Ryan Bader. The bout will be a rematch of a January 2015 contest, which Bader won by split decision. This initial fight between the two Bellator light heavyweights, which occurred in Stockholm, Sweden, still stands out as one of the most lacklustre fights in recent memory. For that, Davis wants to apologize.
Ryan Bader to bring in a substantial amount over Reebok deal with personal sponsorships
Russell Ess - April 28, 2017
Ryan Bader is one of the noteworthy fighters that jumped ship from the UFC to Bellator MMA recently. With going through the negotiation process between the two major mixed martial arts promotions, Bader ultimately felt like he would be better off changing things up and signing with Bellator. A big factor in Bader’s decision to sign with Bellator surely had to do with the amount of money he could make with his personal sponsorships. With the UFC tied into an exclusive uniform deal with Reebok, many UFC fighters such as Bader lost out on a lot of money from their personal endorsements.
