It appears as if Ronda Rousey is helping out the Standing Rock protestors that are against the Dakota Access oil pipeline.
On Tuesday, Pauline Macias, a fellow Olympic judoka posted a photo with the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion stating that they helped to deliver supplies to the Standing Rock protestors.
Macias said in her post, “I had one of the best road trips of my life with @rondarousey to deliver supplies to the protesters at Standing Rock! This was such an incredible experience, & I can’t thank my friend enough for allowing me to be a part of it! #NODAPL #StandWithStandingRock #StandingRock #ArmbarNation #NoDak #UFC #RondaRousey #PitaLiving #TeamPita #TeamRousey #Activist #mma #wmma #judo #ijf #RoadTrips #RV #StandingRock #TeamBG @ballengeegroup.”
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump, who has had a bit of a beef with Rousey, signed an executive order overturning former President Obama’s permit denial for the Dakota Access oil pipeline, which put the project on hold until additional environmental research could be performed.
Although Rousey has not posted anything on her own social media recently on the issue, she is making a lot of noise in the media by just being in the photo from Macias.
Rousey has been out of the media spotlight for quite some time as she made it a point to avoid doing media appearances ahead of her last fight at UFC 207. Rousey ended up losing to current champion Amanda Nunes in their UFC women’s bantamweight title fight and had stated that she needs time to think about her future and what will come next.
Ronda Rousey was also recently seen in Las Vegas, going through the motions of applying for a concealed carry permit, which would give her the right to carry a concealed weapon on her.
What are your thoughts on the Dakota Access oil pipeline? This one has a lot of people on polar opposites. Let’s hear your opinion by leaving a comment!
