Not long ago, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson shared a post to Instagram that seemed to show long-time welterweight star Nick Diaz stealing his date. See that post below:

Though there was immediately some question as to whether this video was legit, or perhaps just a joke between friends, Rampage has now turned up the heat by challenging Diaz to come up to his weight class. The former Pride star issued this challenge in a conversation with TMZ.

“Nick Diaz needs to step up to my weight class,” Rampage said (h/t MMAMania). That’s all I got to say. Back when MMA first started, there were no weight classes. Nick Diaz, he a warrior just like me. That’s all I got to say, he has to step up to my weight class. He disrespected me in Vegas. We both was drinking, which was good, you in Vegas, you having fun. Nick Diaz, you know you disrespected me and you was out of order motherfucker. He tried to punk me man, It ain’t cool. Come to my weight class.”

While this sounds like a legitimate challenge, the jury is still out whether or not these two MMA veterans actually have beef. Any skepticism to this end is certainly justified.

Do you think Rampage and Nick Diaz actually have beef, or is this just an elaborate joke between two friends? Join the conversation in the comments section.
