UFC rankings updated – Colby Covington shoots up welterweight ranks

UFC Fight Night 119 took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil over the weekend.

Colby Covington made a lot of noise there in Brazil after beating the most recent UFC welterweight title challenger, Demian Maia. Covington lashed out at the fans in Brazil and made some people upset, despite later explaining he is just having fun with promoting himself.

While the trash talk and promotion is surely getting him a lot of attention, Covington is also establishing himself as one of the top welterweight contenders whether people like him or not. Following the unanimous decision win over Maia, “Chaos” shot up four spots in the UFC welterweight rankings to no. 3.
