Ronda Rousey promises to hit Miesha Tate’s ‘big target’ nose for Cat Zingano
As you probably know, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) isn’t much of a Miesha Tate (13-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) fan, even after badly damaging her arm with an armbar and taking her title more than a year ago in the now-defunct Strikeforce promotion.
Rousey recently engaged in a Twitter conversation with Tate’s most recent opponent Cat Zingano (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) as well as her husband and trainer Mauricio Zingano.
Here is what the trio had to say:
Cat: @RondaRousey hit her in that nose at @ufc #TUF finale for me will ya?
Rousey: @CatZingano dont worry I’ll handle her and we’ll have the title fight you deserve, heal up
Mauricio: @CatZingano @RondaRousey it’s a big target
Rousey: @zinganobjj @CatZingano lol! Yeah it is
“Rowdy” dethroned Tate as the 135-pound queen of Strikeforce, and in essence, stole her position as the new face of women’s mixed martial arts. Rousey and Tate are set to rematch at the conclusion of “The Ultimate Fighter 18,” where they’re coaching opposing squads of both men and women fighters.
