BREAKING | Ronda Rousey Finalizing Her Huge Career Move

By Justin Golightly - December 6, 2017

Ronda Rousey hasn’t been inside the Octagon for nearly a year now, but she hasn’t been sitting around doing nothing. She got married to UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, is releasing multiple business ventures including her own website, and she’s been all over the WWE Universe. It hasn’t been an accident. Even when she was supporting her best friend Shayna Baszler’s introduction into the professional wrestling promotion, it all felt like it was building towards something. Now, it looks like the deal is done. Two people close to Rousey told USA TODAY Sports that she is finalizing details of her move to WWE. These mystery people can be listed, because they requested to be anonymous since the news hasn’t been announced yet.

“First of all, [Ronda Rousey]’s got to stop throwing me around the ring. The last time I was in the ring with her, Ronda threw threw me from one side to the other. I didn’t like that very much. Ronda is a huge fan. That’s not been a secret, that’s where the ‘Rowdy’ Ronda comes from. She’s definitely interested and we’re having conversations. I’ll say it right here on ESPN, if she wants the opportunity [to wrestle for the WWE] I’d be willing to give it to her.“First things first, she has the passion. She’s loved this business for a long time. She’s enamored with it. She’s enamored with the entertainment component of it and the physicality of it. If it’s something she wants to do, I think she’d be great at it because she would dedicate herself just like she has to everything else in her life.” — Triple H said to ESPN.

The buzz was always there even before the Mae Young Classic that Baszler nearly won, but the fire started blazing after it seemed like they were beginning an angle with WWE’s Four Horsewomen. The most recent news was that she was training for a big match at the WWE’s Performance Center. After such a long build-up  and the WWE sure knows how to build something up  maybe Ronda Rousey’s gigantic WWE transition will finally be coming soon. Wrestlemania 34 will be on April 8th, 2018. That seems like a perfect date.
