Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has managed to stay out of the public eye for the most part following her UFC 207 loss to Amanda Nunes. In that fight, Rousey looked to make her triumphant return to the Octagon following the first defeat of her professional career at the hands of Holly Holm at UFC 193.

Unfortunately for Rousey, her return was an unsuccessful one, which saw her lose to Nunes via TKO in just 43 seconds. Following the fight, there was much speculation as to whether or not Rousey would return to the Octagon, however no official word from Rousey herself as to whether she was planning to fight again. Rousey’s period of silence was followed by a statement from UFC President Dana White, who revealed that he was confident Rousey was likely done fighting.

Now however, news has surfaced that Rousey has hired a new strength & nutrition coach, leading many to wonder if the former champ would be looking to make another return to the Octagon.

WWE’s Paul Heyman doesn’t think Rousey should ignore the possibility of a transition to the WWE. He spoke on The Fight Society podcast:

“I think the WWE audience would embrace Ronda Rousey with open arms,” Heyman said. “Just her name recognition alone is huge. It doesn’t matter, her past two experiences in the UFC. All that matters is if she got involved in a story that people could relate to and sink their teeth into and get excited about.”

“I think Ronda Rousey doing anything in WWE is a natural fit,” he added. “I’d love to see it and would be happy to discuss with her all the benefits that she could enure by being a Paul Heyman girl.”
