Report: UFC 207 will be most attended UFC event in Las Vegas, could also break PPV record
In November of 2015, Ronda Rousey‘s dominant reign as UFC women’s bantamweight champion came to a crashing halt when she was put down by a second round Holly Holm head kick. Over a year later, she still hasn’t stepped back into the Octagon.
Thankfully for Rousey and her throngs of fans, that will all change in a matter of hours, as she’s poised for a highly anticipated comeback fight in the main event of tonight’s UFC 207. In that main event, she’ll take on the women’s bantamweight division’s reigning champion, Amanda Nunes.
Prior to her fight with Holm, Rousey stood out as one of the biggest stars in MMA. Any suspicion that her star power has diminished in her year away from the cage can be put to bed, as UFC 207 looks like it could be a record breaker.
According to John Morgan of MMAJunkie.com, the T-Mobile Arena, which will host the event, has opened up standing room to accommodate the hordes of fans hoping to attend. This will make the event the most attended in the UFC’s long and spectacular history in the city of Las Vegas.
Told @TMobileArena opening up standing room only for very first time tomorrow. #UFC207 will be biggest Vegas crowd ever for @ufc event.

Apparently, UFC 207 is also on track to be a contender for the most purchased pay-per-view in UFC history. This record has been set and set again this year, both times by cards headlined Rousey’s fellow MMA superstar, Conor McGregor. Were UFC 207 to surpass the PPV records set by these McGregor helmed cards, it would need to be purchased somewhere north of 1.5 million times.
Wow. Also told early trending indicates #UFC207 could possibly contend for the @ufc's pay-per-view sales record. That is incredible.

Needless to say, Rousey is clearly still one of MMA’s very biggest stars. Her time away from the cage has done little to hurt her status as such. In fact, the anticipation that has mounted over her year away from the cage looks to have pushed her transcendent stardom to new and unprecedented heights.
Are you surprised that UFC 207 could be a record-breaker? Sound off, PENN Nation!
