In November of 2015, Ronda Rousey touched down in Melbourne, Australia to defend the UFC women’s bantamweight title against unheralded striking specialist Holly Holm. At that time, the Rousey hype train was rumbling along at full speed. Pretty much the entire world expected her to blow through Holm, as evidenced by her status as a baffling -1100 betting favorite.

As we now know, of course, Rousey would not dominate Holm as expected. Quite the opposite, in fact. In what would go down as one of the biggest upsets in MMA history, Holm would dominate Rousey to a second round head-kick knockout, stealing the bantamweight crown in the process. Rousey has not been seen in action since.

Luckily for Rousey fans, that will soon change, as she’s poised for a massively hyped comeback fight in the main event of UFC 207 on December 30. On that night, the former champion will take on the women’s bantamweight division’s reigning Queen, Amanda Nunes.

In the buildup of Rousey’s long-awaited return to action, the UFC has released video of one of her finest performances in the Octagon, a 2013 submission defeat of Miesha Tate. This win, which marked Rousey’s first trip outside the first round of a fight, occurred in the co-main event of UFC 168. Watch the full fight at the top of this article.

Prior to her shocking loss to Holm, Rousey was riding high on a perfect 12-0 record, including triumphs over game opposition in Tate (twice), Sarah Kaufman, Sara McMann, Cat Zingano, and Bethe Correia.

Nunes, meanwhile, will enter her hotly anticipated bout with Rousey having recently mauled Miesha Tate to a first round submission win. Other highlights of Nunes’ impressive record include defeats of Valentina Shevchenko, Sara McMann, Shayna Baszler and Germaine de Randamie. She’s currently 13-4 overall.
