Bellator 199 payouts: Ryan Bader and ‘King Mo’ made bank for their 15-second fight
Last weekend, Bellator MMA touched down in San Jose, California with the stacked Bellator 199 card.
In the main event of this anticipated card, reigning Bellator light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader knocked out former Rizin Heavyweight Grand Prix winner Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in just 15 seconds. With this win, Bader advanced to the second round of Bellator’s Heavyweight Grand Prix, which sets him up for a showdown with fellow first-round winner Matt Mitrione.
In the Bellator 199 co-main event, former UFC welterweight title challenger and World Series of Fighting welterweight champ Jon Fitch picked up a dominant unanimous decision over disgruntled Bellator veteran Paul Daley. The card was also highlighted by nice victories from names like Aaron Pico and Cheick Kongo, who knocked out Lee Morrisson and Javy Ayala respectively.
With this card in the rear-view, the California State Athletic Commission has released the purses for the fighters on the bill.
The biggest earners on the card were Bader and King Mo, who both pocketed $150,000 for their 15-second fight. The next biggest earner on the bill was Fitch, who pocketed $120,000 for his three-round win over Daley.
