Sam Stout vs. Isaac Vallie-Flagg added to UFC 161 in Winnipeg | UFC News
A lightweight match-up between Canadian Sam Stout (19-8-1 MMA, 8-7 UFC) and Strikeforce import Isaac Vallie-Flagg (14-3-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has been added to the UFC 161 card set for June 15 in Winnipeg.
Stout makes a quick return to action following his hard-fought split-decision win over Strikeforce veteran, Caros Fodor, at February’s UFC 157 event. “Hands of Stone” has gone 4-2 in his past six bouts and is a five-time UFC “Fight of the Night” winner. The fight with Vallie-Flagg in Winnipeg will mark Stout’s 6th octagon appearance on home soil.
Meanwhile, Strikeforce import Vallie-Flagg recently made his UFC debut with a split-decision win of his own, defeating veteran Yves Edwards at UFC 156. With the win, Vallie-Flagg stretched his unbeaten streak to 12 fights, which includes 11 wins and one draw.
UFC 161 takes place June 15 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The event is headlined by a UFC interim bantamweight championship fight between Renan Barao and former WEC title holder Eddie Wineland.
