Bellator boss Scott Coker is actually up for a winner-take-all fight between Daley and MVP

Bellator MMA has been trying to pit rival British strikers Paul Daley and Michael “Venom” Page against one another for ages. Unfortunately, the bout has yet to come to fruition, despite the best efforts of Bellator President Scott Coker and his team.

Fresh of a knockout win in his boxing debut, Page recently explained that he’s lost most of his interest in this fight. That said, the flash British knockout artist said he could be coaxed into the cage with Daley if the bout was arranged with winner-take-all stakes.

“I’m being very specific with this this one now,” Page said on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. “I’m saying the only way I’m going to fight him is if he puts his whole pay check on paper. I’ll do exactly the same. Winner takes all. If I were to lose that fight, I don’t want a penny for losing that fight. If I win that fight I don’t want him to get paid.  I don’t want him to do anything… Put your whole pay check up and I’ll happily fight you.  Outside of that, I’m genuinely not interested.”     

“For me, I know how big this fight could be, but I genuinely don’t care anymore. I’m just not interested.  I’m kind tired of this whole back and forth thing. If it happens, then it  happens. But for me, I’m not chasing it anymore.”

In a somewhat surprising twist, Bellator MMA President Scott Coker recently admitted that he’s actually up for promoting a winner-takes-all fight between the two rivals.

“At the end of the day, that fight should happen, and if ‘winner take all’ is what he’s proposing, maybe that’s what we propose to Paul and say, ‘Hey, here’s a winner take all scenario, let’s do it, let’s get it on,” Coker said. “If they want to put it on the line, we’re going to pay somebody, we’ll just pay the winner.”
