Teruto Ishihara Says USADA stared at “Yashabo Jr.” During Urine Sample Collection

UFC featherweight Teruto “Yashabo” Ishihara is quickly becoming a fan favorite–not just because of his high-action fighting style, but because of his hilarious antics outside the cage.

On Tuesday, Yashabo was visited by the United States Anti-Doping Agency, the UFC’s anti-doping partner, and if his subsequent post to Instagram is any indication, things got a little uncomfortable.

The post shows a terrified looking Yashabo getting a blood sample taken (needles aren’t for everyone). The caption on the post also indicates that things didn’t go much better when he was asked to provide a urine sample.

“USADA came in and took my urine and blood today to add to their collection,” the caption says. “It took me 40 minutes to piss since they were staring right at Yashabo Jr.”

To clarify, “Yashabo Jr.” is not the Japanese fighter’s son, but something else entirely.

Needless to say, it sounds like the interactions between USADA and the fighters it oversees can get a little awkward. But that’s a worthwhile sacrifice to clean up our sport!

Do you appreciate USADA’s efforts? Sound off, PENN nation1
