“To be a real success, you know…a low number? 200 [thousand pay-per-view buys]. I mean, that’s shootin’ super low. If me and Chuck [Liddell] do 200,000 pay-per-view buys, we shouldn’t even be in the business. I think this thing knocks it out of the park, we have a home run ahead of us and all the fans at home will be interested in this fight cause they want to see how it turns out.

Either it’s the fans that don’t like me and want to see me get knocked out by Chuck Liddell, or the fans that love me and want to see me knock out Chuck Liddell so they’re going to get either way. This fight ain’t going to decision. One of us is going to get dropped and I know it’s not going to be me.”

This Saturday night, they’re back. Two of the light heavyweight division’s most legendary and iconic fighters will meet for the third and presumably final time as Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell faces Tito Ortiz.

Both men will be coming out of retirement with primarily Ortiz looking to settle the score over the man who holds two TKO victories over him.

For Liddell, this will be his first professional fight in eight whole years, dating back to UFC 115 when he took on Rich Franklin in a losing effort. Ironically, Liddell vs Ortiz 3 was supposed to be happening that night rather than this upcoming Saturday night but Ortiz suffered an injury while the two coached opposite one another on season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Ortiz, on the other hand, had his last fight take place in Bellator in January 2017 when he submitted Chael Sonnen in a little over two minutes.
