The Stockton native has only taken fights that he feels make sense for him. He has expressed frustration with the UFC throughout his run and things haven’t gotten better.

It seems that the long-awaited Michael Chandler vs. Tony Ferguson fight has a date. For months, ‘Iron’ and ‘El Cucuy’ have teased a fight against one another. However, a date hasn’t been known for the bout, as the UFC tried to set the fight for early summer but Ferguson wanted it sooner. It seems that the promotion has finally nailed down the fight and made it official.

To no surprise, Sean is not a fan of Tony and even claimed that Daniels, a current Bellator fighter, once knocked Ferguson out cold.

Nate Diaz has chimed in after his longtime rival Conor McGregor suggested he would end Tony Ferguson’s life in a potential fight. Earlier this evening McGregor and Ferguson exchanged shots on social media. ‘El Cucuy’ accused the Irishman of taking HGH while slamming Conor for attacking civilians.

Conor McGregor says he will end Tony Ferguson’s life inside the Octagon if the two end up fighting. On Friday evening, McGregor took to social media to blast Ferguson, which isn’t the first time he has taken shots at him. However, he added to it saying he wants to end “El Cucuy’s” life in there.

UFC welterweight contender Nate Diaz conveyed his interest in fighting Tony Ferguson by sharing a photo of him on his social media. Ferguson this week conveyed his own interest in fighting the UFC superstar Conor McGregor, but it appears as though Diaz wants in on the action instead. Diaz has made it clear over the last few months that he wants to get back into the Octagon very soon after his decision loss to Leon Edwards back in June at UFC 263. Diaz has been connected to a welterweight contest against Vicente Luque in recent weeks but the fight has not been booked yet. With the Luque fight not getting done, it appears as though Diaz could be ready to move on and fight someone else, and that potentially could be against Ferguson.

Chandler has had a fascinating start to his UFC career dating all the way back to when he played the role of alternate for the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje fight. Since then he’s gone on to finish Dan Hooker before almost doing the same to Charles Oliveira, only to ultimately lose via strikes early in the second round.

Khabib Nurmagomedov doesn’t think Tony Ferguson can turn his career around and believes “El Cucuy” should retire from MMA due to his losing streak. Ferguson is on a three-fight losing streak and has been dominated in all three fights. However, he still has only lost to the best in the lightweight division and is the sixth-ranked lightweight. Yet, for Khabib Nurmagomedov, due to the fact Ferguson has been dominated in three straights fights and taken so much damage, the former lightweight champ believes El Cucuy needs to retire.
