TUF 25 Finale Results: Michael Johnson vs. Justin Gaethje

A key lightweight scrap between Michael Johnson and Justin Gaethje served as the main event of tonight’s TUF 25 Finale event in Las Vegas.

Round one begins and Johnson comes out quickly. He lands a hard left jab and then a right hand that stuns Justin. Gaethje says he is ok and waves Michael on. Another good combo from Johnson. Michael with a leg kick. Justin presses forward and lands a hard knee. A leg kick now from Gaethje. Johnson with a left hand. Justin presses forward and lands another low kick. Johnson rattles off a lef jab and then an uppercut. Gaethje respond with a pair of low kicks. Those are some powerful kicks from Justin. Gaethje continues to press forward here. He lands a hard left hook that wobbles Johnson. Michael recovers and lands a low kick followed by a left hand. Justin continues to press forward like the Terminator and lands a low kick followed by a left. The fighters clinch and exchange knees. They break and Johnson lands a combination. Another low kick followed by an uppercut for Gaethje. Michael Johnson connects with a right hand that absolutely rocks Gaethje. Justin is in all sorts of trouble now. Johnson is pouring it on. Uppercuts followed by a right hand. Johnson lands a takedown and the horn sounds to end round one. WOW!

Round two begins and Gaethje misses with a wild right. Johnson connects with a left hook. Michael is moving well in round two. He fires off a combination. Gaethje replies with a low kick and then another. He is pressing the action again. Another low kick from Gaethje. Johnson goes to the body with a left hook. Johnson with another massive right hand. Gaethje is absolutely rocked. Johnson is all over him now. Somehow Justin has survived. Again! Gaethje is pressing forward now. He eats some body shots and then a left from Michael. Justin fires off a low kick and Michael responds with one to the body. Johnson with a left hand and then another. Justin misses with an uppercut and then takes a deep breath. Justin lands an uppercut. Johnson is rocked. Another uppercut and Johnson goes down. Justin is so tired he won’t even pounce on him. Michael is back up and a low kick sends him back down. Justin is on him and this one is over. The referee has stepped in.
