Tyron Woodley appears to be getting fed up with the “Wonderboy” talk

Tyron Woodley realized his dream at last month’s UFC 201 event in Atlanta, when he became the UFC’s welterweight champion after scoring a first-round knockout victory over Robbie Lawler.

Since winning the title Woodley has expressed his interest in having a “big money fight” for his first title defense.

“The Chosen One” is hoping to square off with either former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre or former Strikeforce title holder Nick Diaz in his next octagon appearance.

UFC president Dana White has stated that Woodley will defend his title against top contender Stephen Thompson next, but Tyron says he has yet to be contacted by UFC officials regarding a fight with “Wonderboy” and believes the dangerous striker (Thompson) is still one win away.

Following last night’s UFC on FOX 21 event in Vancouver, Woodley took some shots at a fan suggesting that he should fight “Wonderboy” next and clarified that he is not “holding up” the welterweight division:
