Colby Covington picked up the biggest victory of his mixed martial arts career yesterday in Sao Paulo, defeating former title challenger Demian Maia via unanimous decision in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 119.

The 29-year-old, Covington, turned heads during his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier after he decided to trash the Brazilian crowd and callout current welterweight title holder Tyron Woodley.

“I should have knocked him (Demian Maia) out.” Covington stated. “Brazil you’re a dump! All you filthy animals suck! I’ve got one thing to say.. Tyron Woodley I’m coming for you! If you don’t answer the front door, I am going to knock it in and take what’s mine, that welterweight belt!”

Well it didn’t take long for “The Chosen One” to respond to Covington’s callout, as the current welterweight champion of the world quickly took to Twitter with the following messages.

Colby Covington has now won five straight fights, scoring stoppage wins in two of those five contests.

Meanwhile, Tyron Woodley is coming off a decision victory over the aforementioned Demian Maia. Prior to that, “The Chosen One” was coming off two close battles with Stephen Thompson and a first-round starching of Robbie Lawler.
