Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes official for UFC 200
After the UFC announced that Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz II would headline UFC 200, and that Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar would fight for the interim featherweight title, Dana White announced that fans could expect a women’s title fight.
Late Wednesday evening, it was announced that Miesha Tate would defend her UFC women’s bantamweight championship against Amanda Nunes on the UFC 200 card on July 9th as well.

Tate is coming off a 5th round submission win over Holly Holm at UFC 196, where she claimed the UFC women’s bantamweight title. Nunes on the other hand is riding riding a 3-fight win streak that has seen her TKO Shayna Baszler, submit Sara McMann, and most recently defeat Valentina Shevchenko via decision.
