Rating report! UFC 202 numbers are in

This past weekend the MMA world tuned in as Conor McGregor looked to avenge his UFC 196 loss to Nate Diaz back in March.

McGregor and Diaz went to war over the course of 5 rounds, winning over the hearts of MMA fans as they put on what some consider to be the greatest fight of all time. Ultimately, after 5 rounds of war, McGregor was awarded the majority decision win.

In the wake of the event, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has learned that the event did 1.5 million PPV buys, making it the 3rd biggest PPV in UFC history behind UFC 100, and UFC 196.

Per UFC, UFC 202 was third biggest PPV in company history, behind UFC 196 and 100. In other words, McGregor + Diaz = Ca$h Money.

While UFC President Dana White has remained adamant that the UFC won’t book a trilogy fight between the two at the present time, given the numbers the first two fights did, a trilogy fight between the two would certainly do massive numbers once again.
