Cerrone has gone 3-0 since moving up to the UFC’s stacked welterweight division, scoring finishes in all three of those victories.

Meanwhile, Kelvin Gastelum has gone 2-1 in his last three octagon appearances, most recently scoring a unanimous decision victory over former champ Johny Hendricks at UFC 200 in July.

A featherweight bout between former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and knockout artist Jeremy Stephens was also announced for the card.

Frankie Edgar is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Jose Aldo at UFC 200, which was for the promotions interim featherweight title. Prior to the setback, Edgar had reeled off five-straight wins in the division.

Jeremy Stephens was most recently seen in action at May’s UFC Fight Night event in Las Vegas, where he scored a unanimous decision victory over former bantamweight title holder Renan Barao.

UFC 205 will also feature a pair of middleweight contests, as the promotion announced that former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans would be taking on Tim Kennedy, and Tim Boetsch will be squaring off with Rafael Natal.

Meanwhile, Tim Kennedy will fight for the first time since September of 2014, where he suffered a controversial knockout loss to Yoel Romero at UFC 178. Prior to that, Kennedy had scored a decision victory over current middleweight champion Michael Bisping at the TUF Nations Finale event in Quebec City, Canada.

The final bout announced for UFC 205 this evening was a women’s fight between Katlyn Chookagian and Liz Carmouche.

The UFC also announced that they would be holding a press conference on Tuesday September 27, which will include all the stars of UFC 205.

UFC 205 takes place November 12 live from Madison Square Garden in New York.
