The UFC just released the extended promo for the epic card, which will feature three title fights and a six-fight main card featuring some of the UFC’s biggest names.

See for yourself how awesome this UFC 205 promo is below!

For the UFC’s debut event in the New York City, fans will be treated to a lightweight title fight between 155 pound champ Eddie Alvarez and 145 pound champ Conor McGregor, a woman’s strawweight title fight between undefeated champ Joanna Jędrzejczyk and undefeated challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz, as well as a highly-anticipated welterweight title fight between  champ Tyron Woodley and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.

The card will also feature a middleweight showdown between former champion Chris Weidman and Yoel Romero on the main card, as well as former 155 pound kingpin Frankie Edgar in a featherweight bout with notoriously heavy-hitter Jeremy “Lil Heathen” Stephens on the undercard.

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone vs Kelvin Gastelum and former woman’s bantamweight Miesha Tate and Raquel Pennington will round out the PPV portion of the card.

The UFC fought a years-long battle to hold an event in New York, specifically at Madison Square Garden, and finally got the green-light in early 2016. The UFC attempted to hold it’s first event in The Big Apple for UFC 197, but a preliminary injunction forced the promotion to move the card to Las Vegas. When the MMA ban in the Empire State finally lifted, the UFC wasted no time in booking UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden, which is the Mecca of combat sports and has held some of the biggest boxing matches in the sport’s long and storied history.

Several New York area natives will be competing on the card, including Long Islander Chris Weidman, Jersey boy Frankie Edgar, and Upstate native Rashad Evans.

What do you think of the extended UFC 205 promo? Does the new promo make you even more excited for this epic card? Sound off, PENN Nation!
