The octagon returned to Boston last night for UFC 220.
The pay-per-view event was headlined by a heavyweight title fight between current champion Stipe Miocic and surging contender Francis Ngannou.
Miocic was able to weather an early storm from Ngannou before eventually taking control of the highly anticipated title fight. In the end, Miocic grappled his way to a lopsided decision win, thus breaking the record for consecutive heavyweight title defenses with three.
“The Baddest Man On The Planet”, Miocic, took home $40,000 from Reebok for his efforts at UFC 220, while his opponent Francis Ngannou pocketed a cool $30,000.
In the co-main event of the evening, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier was able to successfully defend his title by finishing challenger Volkan Oezdemir in the second-round.
“DC” took home $40,000 from Reebok for his impressive performance, while his opponent “No Time” took home $30,000 for his efforts.
