UFC 229 tickets go on sale this Friday…and they aren’t cheap

Are you planning on going to see “the biggest fight in MMA history” live and in person on October 6th? Well then get ready to shell out some cash.

Everyone in MMA wants to see Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor finally settle the score. And the UFC is aware of this as they’re going to try and capitalize on it in all ways to make it a success.

Which includes profiting, of coures.

Today the UFC revealed the ticket prices for UFC 229 per Brett Okamoto and they will be a bit higher priced than a regular event…

The prices for tickets will include the following from highest to lowest (not including fees): $2505, $2005, $1505, $1005, $755, $555, $405, $355, $305, $255, $205. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10:00 AM PST.

For comparison sake, McGregor’s last two fights which came against Nate Diaz in their rematch at UFC 202 and Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title in Madison Square Garden at UFC 205 had the following ticket prices.

UFC 202: $1292, $880, $674, $520, $365, $211

UFC 205: $1250, $750, $600, $450, $300, $200, $100

Both UFC 202 and UFC 229 were and will be held in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. With McGregor’s undeniable popularity and return against arguably his toughest foe to date, it will be very interesting to see if the UFC can manage a sellout here.

As for the rest of the card, it’s still having fights added to it but at the moment it looks like this:

Heavyweight – 207-265lbs: Alexander Volkov vs. Derrick Lewis

Bantamweight – 135lbs: Sean O’Malley vs. José Alberto Quiñónez

Welterweight – 170lbs: Ryan LaFlare vs. Tony Martin

Bantamweight: Lina Länsberg vs. Yana Kunitskaya

Flyweight – 125lbs: Sergio Pettis vs. Jussier Formiga

Light heavyweight – 205lbs: Ovince Saint Preux vs. Dominick Reyes

Strawweight – 115lbs: Michelle Waterson vs. Felice Herrig
