UFC announces December PPV event in Toronto and the coaches for Season 28 of TUF
The octagon will return to Toronto, Ontario, Canada this December for the promotions UFC 231 pay-per-view event.
The fight card will take place December 8 live from Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.
UFC President Dana White broke the exciting news earlier tonight on Sports Centre.
The UFC last visited Toronto in December of 2016 for UFC 206. That night, Max Holloway became the UFC ‘s interim featherweight champion by defeating former lightweight title holder Anthony Pettis via third-round TKO.
No fights have been announced for UFC 231, which will serve as the sixth UFC fight card to take place in Toronto.

During tonight’s TUF 27 Finale broadcast, the promotion also announced that current UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and surging division contender Kelvin Gastelum will serve as the coaches for The Ultimate Fighter Season 28.

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani first reported that the Whittaker vs. Gastelum bout was in the works earlier today.
Robert Whittaker will enter the contest on an eight fight win streak, his latest being a split-decision victory over Yoel Romero in their “fight of the year” candidate war at UFC 225.
Meanwhile, Kelvin Gastelum has won two fights in a row and four of his past five overall.
The former TUF winner, Gastelum, is coming off a split-decision win over Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza which occurred at UFC 224 this past May in Rio de Janeiro.
No date or venue has been set for the official Kelvin Gastelum vs. Robert Whittaker middleweight title fight at this time.
