UFC Fight Night 112 results: Clay Guida grinds Erik Koch to decision

The undercard of UFC Fight Night 112, which went down in Oklahoma City on Sunday night, was wrapped up by a lightweight scrap between former featherweights Erik Koch and Clay Guida.

Clay Guida

It was a vintage win for Guida. For three rounds, the wild-haired veteran set a frenetic pace, repeatedly dragging his foe to the mat, where he battered him with a veritable meteor shower of ground-and-pound. By the time the third round was done, Guida had amassed almost 10 minutes of control on the canvas, and bludgeoned his foe with a whopping 131 strikes – more than enough to earn him a unanimous decision win.

With this win, Guida rebounds from back-to-back stoppage losses to Thiago Tavares and Brian Ortega. These losses were preceded by a decision defeat of Robbie Peralta, and a submission loss to Dennis Bermudez. The veteran is 33-17 overall.

Koch, meanwhile, comes up short in his first fight in more than a year. In his last outing, he defeated Canada’s Shane Campbell by rear naked choke. This win was preceded by a TKO loss to current Rizin FF star Daron Cruickshank. He is 15-5 overall.
