UFC Fight Night Austin Results: Donald Cerrone KO’s Yancy Medeiros

A welterweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros served as the main event of tonight’s UFC Fight Night card in Austin, Texas.

Round one begins and Cerrone lands a left hand to start things off. Yancy presses forward and lands a combination. Both fighters land low kicks. Yancy with a spinning back kick now that finds a home. Medeiros is doing a good job here. He lands a jab to the body of “Cowboy”. Yancy with a right hand over the top. That appeared to stun Donald. Cerrone circles along the fence. He comes forward and lands a right hand that drops Medeiros. Cerrone allows Yancy to get up and then he gives him a hug. The fighters break and get back to fighting. Cerrone with a combination that drops Medeiros. Yancy scrambles back up but Cerrone is there to greet him with strikes. Medeiros is so tough. He just bites down on his mouthpiece and throws a bomb. Cerrone returns fire with a right hand followed by a knee. He presses the Hawaiian up against the cage. Yancy reverses the position and lands a pair of knees, Cerrone breaks free and proceeds to land a right hand. He scores with a left hook and then another. Yancy replies with a left but Cerrone floors him with a right hand. “Cowboy” leaps in with some huge ground and pound and this one is all over!
