UFC Halifax Results: Jack Marshman vs. Thiago Santos

A middleweight bout between Jack Marshman and Thiago Santos took place on tonight’s UFC Fight Night 105 prelims in Halifax, Canada.

Round one begins and Marshman presses forward with his jab early. Santos counters him with a right hand. Marshman continues to press forward but eats back to back left hands from Santos. Jack retreats and Santos chases after him and shoots in for a takedown. He gets it and begins working from full guard. Good shots from the top by Santos. He opts to stand up and deliver some kicks to the legs of his grounded opponent. Santos dives back in to Jack’s guard. Marshman is able to scramble and get back to his feet but eats a left hand for his troubles. Jack presses forward and lands a right. Santos responds with a hard kick to the body. Jack continues to press forward but Santos hits him with a spinning back kick. Marshman connects with a big right hand and Santos is rocked. Both men start trading punches. Santos motions Jack to bring it. This fight is getting wild. Round one comes to an end.

Round two begins and Santos lands a high kick early. Jack eats it and circles out. Santos is utilizing some good footwork here. He lands a hard leg kick on Jack. Both men tuck their chins and throw bombs. Santos circles out. He comes forward and lands a hard body kick on Marshman. Santos follows that up with a nice inside leg kick. Marshman continues to press forward. Santos connects with a spinning heel kick and Jack goes down. WOW! He follows up with some ground and pound and this one is over!
