UFC Fight Night 116 Results: Anthony Smith KO’s Hector Lombard (VIDEO)

A middleweight scrap between Hector Lombard and Anthony Smith took place during tonight’s UFC Fight Night 116 main card in Pittsburgh.

Round one begins and Smith lands a big head kick early. Lombard eats it and comes forward with a flurry of punches. Smith circles off the cage and lands a kick. He misses with a left hook. Lombard with a good right hand. Smith attempts to shoot for a takedown but it is not there. Lombard with some strikes from the top. Smith scrambles back to his feet. Lombard hits him with a pair of hard low kicks. Smith misses with an attempted head kick. Lombard with a nice counter right hand. He charges forward and lands another right. Smith moves off the cage but eats some low kicks for his troubles. One minute remains in round one. Another hard leg kick from Hector and then another. Smith attempts another head kick but it misses the mark. Lombard with another hard low kick. Smith comes forward but Lombard lands a nice counter right hand.

Round two begins and Lombard continues to chop away at the left leg of Smith. Anthony presses forward and lands a knee. Hector circles away and then fires off another hard low kick. Anthony Smith presses forward now. He misses with a left hook but connects with a follow up jab. Lombard gets a hold of Smith and presses him against the cage. Knees from Lombard. The fighters battle along the cage. Smith breaks free. He lands an elbow that staggers Hector. Smith gets on top of Lombard. He works some shots before the horn sounds to end round two.

Round three begins and Smith comes forward immediately. He misses with a left but lands a nice knee. Lombard fires off a punch to the body. He connects with a right hook. Lombard with a good low kick. He follows that up with a pair of left hands. Smith with a jab to the body and then another. Lombard comes forward but Smith catches him with a nice counter right hand. Lombard fires right back with a left. Smith misses with a head kick. Lombard moves forward and eats a huge right. That sends Hector to the canvas. A follow up punch from Smith and this one is all over. WOW!
