‘UFC Fight Night Singapore’ post-fight bonus report
Early Saturday morning, American fight fans tuned in to an action packed morning of fights on ‘UFC Fight Night Singapore’, headlined by a women’s bantamweight showdown between Holly Holm and Bethe Correia that saw Holm snap a 3-fight skid and return to the win column with an extremely impressive 3rd round head kick KO.
Following the fight, it was revealed that Holm, Ulka Sasaki, Li Jingliang, and Frank Camacho all were awarded $50,000 post-fight bonuses, with Jingliang and Camacho being awarded with ‘Fight of the Night’ honors.
Holm of course snapped a 3-fight skid with the win over Correia, and will now look to climb the women’s bantamweight rankings once again and reclaim the women’s bantamweight championship.
Ulka Sasaki picked up an impressive submission win over Justin Scoggins in the second round of their preliminary card scrap, returning him to the win column after his unanimous decision loss to Wilson Reis at UFC 208 back in February.
Jingliang and Camacho were involved in the ‘Fight of the Night’, which took place on the preliminary card, where Jingliang picked up a unanimous decision win over Frank Camacho, out striking Camacho throughout the course of their 3 round scrap. In addition to his two takedowns, Jingliang landed 95 total strikes, and 94 significant strike, compared to Camacho’s 56 total strikes, and 35 significant strikes.
One man who was not awarded a post-fight bonus, who picked up a big win on the card was former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, who picked up a unanimous decision win over Tarec Saffiedine in his welterweight debut to snap a 2-fight skid that saw him lose the lightweight championship to Eddie Alvarez nearly a year ago before then dropping a unanimous decision to Tony Ferguson.
