Drakkar Klose suffered multiple injuries as a result of a hard push from Jeremy Stephens at Friday’s UFC Vegas 24 weigh-ins. Klose and Stephens were expected to collide in a highly anticipated lightweight bout this evening in Nevada. Unfortunately for fight fans, just minutes prior to the commencement of tonight’s event, UFC officials announced that the scheduled co-headliner had been called off due to injuries suffered by the Michigan native in Klose.

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 24 event just lost it’s scheduled co-headliner as a lightweight bout between Jeremy Stephens and Drakkar Klose has been called off. Stephens (28-18 MMA) was supposed to be returning to the lightweight division in hopes of snapping his current four-fight losing streak. During that rough stretch ‘Lil Heathen’ has suffered losses to Jose Aldo, Zabit Magomedsharipov, Yair Rodriguez and most recently Calvin Kattar.

The Octagon remains in Nevada for today’s UFC Vegas 23 event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by middleweights Kevin Holland and Marvin Vettori. Vettori (16-4-1 MMA) was originally slated to square off with Darren Till at the event. However, the Liverpool native was forced to withdraw from the contest due to injury.
