12 bouts set for UFC Newark on August 3
The recently announced UFC Newark card, which will broadcast on ESPN on August 3, is looking like a good one.
As we now know, the card will be headlined by a welterweight showdown between former champion Robbie Lawler and former interim champion Colby Covington.
In addition to this massive welterweight fight, the UFC Newark card has also been bolstered by a light heavyweight contender bout between Ilir Latifi and Volkan Oezdemir. This bout was originally scheduled to occur at the recent UFC Stockholm card, but was rescheduled due to a Latifi injury.
The card will also include a recently announced lightweight bout between battle-tested veterans Clay Guida and Jim Miller, who have amazingly not fought yet despite their long careers in the UFC.
Elsewhere on the card, we’ll see appearances from rising prospects and popular fighters like Nasrat Haqparast, Lauren Murphy, Antonina Shevchenko, and more.
