Ben Askren roasts Nate Diaz over his record at lightweight
Undefeated welterweight standout Ben Askren (19-0 MMA) took aim at former UFC lightweight title challenger Nate Diaz on Monday afternoon.

“I think Nate Diaz may be a better troll than Stephen A Smith, his record at lightweight is 7-6.” – Ben Askren tweeted.
Askren’s comments come shortly after Diaz’s appearance on The Helwani Show, where the California Native revealed his days of fighting at lightweight (155-pounds) are over.
“There’s nothing for me there. I already did everything, beat everybody” stated Diaz. “I’m the king of that division.”
Nate Diaz will return to the octagon at August’s UFC 241 event for a welterweight bout with former lightweight title holder Anthony Pettis.
It will mark the first time that Nate has stepped foot inside the cage since suffering a controversial majority decision loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 202 in August of 2016.
Meanwhile, Ben Askren will return to action at July’s UFC 239 event for a pivotal welterweight scrap with Jorge Masvidal.
Askren made his promotional debut at March’s UFC 235 event, where he scored an extremely controversial submission victory over former division champion Robbie Lawler.
