Conor McGregor and Al Iaquinta exchange shots on social media
Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor took aim at Tristar gym head coach Firas Zahabi earlier this evening, which resulted in an bitter exchange with Al Iaquinta.
“Mystic Mac” had blasted Zahabi for his recent comments in which he insinuated that current UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway would defeat Conor McGregor in a rematch.
As expected, Zahabi’s comments were not well received by the brash Irishman who responded to the “twerp” coach from Tristar gym on Twitter.
Hey firaz. Young man afraid to get in and fight, himself. Stop talking about me like you know me, you twerp.
You are what age? Why are not in there yourself? Are you not up to it?
You rent dorms and hit a clock for a living.

“All these young mouthy clock hitters. Stay ready.”
While Firas Zahabi has yet to respond to McGregor’s rather harsh statement, perennial UFC lightweight contender Al Iaquinta has. Check out what the New York native had to say below.
Ooo roast me next! 🙋🏽♂️

Conor McGregor obliged “Raging Al” by responding with the following.

“Sure he did, Joe”
It turns out Iaquinta wasn’t overly impressed by the Irish stars response, but Al is hoping McGregor is simply saving his best stuff for their unofficial fight.
Ehhh not ur best work.. saving the good stuff for the fight ur so smart

Al Iaquinta was most recently seen in action last month in Milwaukee, where for the second time in his career he defeated perennial division contender Kevin Lee.
“Raging Al” has gone 6-1 over his past seven octagon appearances, with his lone loss in that time coming via decision to current UFC lightweight kingpin Khabib Nurmagomedov.
As for Conor McGregor, the former two-division UFC champion most recently competed at October’s UFC 229 event, where he suffered a fourth-round submission loss to the aforementioned undefeated Russian, Khabib.
