Conor McGregor and Ben Askren have an interesting exchange on social media
Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor had an interesting exchange with undefeated welterweight Ben Askren late yesterday evening.
Shortly following Max Holloway’s impressive stoppage victory over Brian Ortega in the main event of UFC 231, former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen took to Twitter with the following statement.
Which makes you wonder, just how good is Conor McGregor..?

Conor McGregor issued a prompt response to Sonnen’s tweet.
Thank you Chael. I was very happy to see Max return healthy and sharp in there the other night. Great win. https://t.co/O9e2lMSD8Q

Former Bellator and ONE champion, Ben Askren, also responded to Chael Sonnen’s tweet, taking aim at the Irish superstar.
Was much better before every tweet was about Proper 12 and he actually liked to train. https://t.co/0qdgdXvD8x

As expected, Conor McGregor quickly responded to “Funky“, but it wasn’t the type of reply most fans were expecting.
But it’s so tasty it makes me rub my belly and go yum yum.

The Irishman‘s rather bizarre response left Ben Askren believing that McGregor must be intoxicated.
Answer truthfully…… are you intoxicated right now? https://t.co/yzJhg2G7kE

Conor McGregor never got back to Ben Askren with an answer, well, at least not at the time of this article.
“Mystic Mac” was last seen in action at September’s UFC 229 event, where he suffered a fourth-round submission loss to current lightweight kingpin Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Meanwhile, Ben Askren is set to make his long awaited octagon debut at January’s UFC 233 event against former division title holder Robbie Lawler.
Askren previously dominated both the Bellator MMA and ONE welterweight ranks, and currently sports a perfect professional record of 18-0.
