Dana White announces he’s signed a new deal with the UFC
UFC President Dana White is going anywhere.
In a recent interview with UFC reporter Megan Olivi, the UFC boss announced that he and WME co-CEO Ari Emanuel have both signed new seven-year deals with the promotion.
“Ari Emanuel and I just signed a new seven year deal too,” he said, shortly after announcing that UFC pay-per-view are now available strictly on ESPN+. “We’re here for seven years, ESPN is here for seven years. The incredible things that we’re going to work on… I just can’t even tell you how pumped I am for all of this.”

White became the UFC President in 2001, shortly after convincing his childhood friends Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta to buy the combat sports property from its original owner, Semaphore Entertainment Group (SEG). He’s been at the helm of the company ever since, and while not all of his choices have been popular, it’s hard to deny that the UFC would not be where it is today were it not for his tireless efforts and business savvy.
Time will tell what Dana White will accomplish over the next seven years, but with the promotion’s new broadcast deal with ESPN trundling along, the future certainly looks bright.
