Dustin Poirier targets Khabib Nurmagomedov, Tony Ferguson
Currently on an impressive four-fight unbeaten streak, and with just one loss in his last nine fights, Dustin Poirier is irrefutably one of the top contenders in the crowded UFC lightweight division. In fact, were it not for the existence of long-time contender Tony Ferguson, Poirier would most definitely be the next man in line for reigning champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Speaking on Twitter on Thursday and Friday, Dustin Poirier looked to remind the world of his status as a top lightweight contender, calling both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson out for fights.

“I want Khabib,” Poirier wrote matter-of-factly on Twitter.
Either one of them! Let's make it happen!! https://t.co/4ynNPaqnnd

“Either one of them,” he added when a fan suggested a matchup with Ferguson. “Let’s make it happen!”
Whoever he fights next, Poirier seems confident he’ll come out on top.

“I will be victorious,” he assured one fan on Twitter.
Dustin Poirier was briefly scheduled to return to the cage opposite Nate Diaz at UFC 230 in November. Unfortunately, an injury derailed this plan.
His last fight occurred in July, when he defeated Eddie Alvarez by TKO in the main event of the UFC’s latest stopover in Calgary. This win was preceded by a TKO defeat of former World Series of Fighting lightweight titleholder Justin Gaethje, and a stoppage win over former UFC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis.
