Greg Hardy reacts to disqualification loss to Allen Crowder

Last night, in the co-main event of UFC Brooklyn, former NFL star Greg Hardy stepped into the cage for his debut UFC bout. In the end, Hardy lost this fight by disqualification, smashing his foe Allen Crowder with an illegal knee in the second round.
βHe was getting up, it was inexperience in mistiming it, man,β Hardy said post-fight (via MMA Fighting). βBut I trying to time it like I had just watched Donald Cowboy Cerrone do, like I saw everybody else do, and I thought it was the right thing to do at the time. And it was not. I messed up.β
Greg Hardy added that this isn’t the kind of fight he wants to be associated with.
βI was built to do this,β Hardy said. βI was made to do this, man, and I let people down today. I let my gym down. I let my team down, and you know it? it sucks man. I didnβt want him to go out like that. That sucks for Allen Crowder man, for him to go out like that, no matter how he feels about me thatβs not okay you know. I take full responsibility for this. Itβs not something Iβd do on purpose. Anybody thatβs ever met me, or been around me, knows itβs not something I would do. I wish we could go back and go into the third round, man.β
Whatever the case, Greg Hardy assured he is not a cheater.
βShow me one time Iβve ever cheated in my life,β Hardy said. βShow me one of their favorite quarterbacks in history that I ever cheated against. Go ask Tom Brady if I ever cheated when I sacked him. Iβm not a cheater. Thatβs not on my record, thatβs not on my resume. Thirty years of life. Not one time. Not one time have you ever asked me a questions and I lied to you. Not one time have I ever stood up here and you asked a question and I said βit wasnβt my fault.β I was there. I did it. It was my responsibility. Iβm a grown man. Thatβs my character.β
What did you think the future holds for Greg Hardy after his DQ loss in his UFC debut?
