Jon Jones has an interesting offer for bitter rival Daniel Cormier

Former UFC light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones will rematch Alexander Gustafsson in the headliner of next weekend’s highly anticipated UFC 232 event in Las Vegas.

Jon Jones and “The Mauler” first met at UFC 165 in September of 2013 and produced arguably the greatest fight in the history of the light heavyweight division.

Jones ultimately defeated Gustafsson via unanimous decision that night in Toronto, which at the time marked “Bones” sixth-straight title defense.

Shortly following his victory over Gustafsson, Jon Jones would begin his rivalry with current UFC “champ champ” Daniel Cormier.

That rivalry, which is arguably the most notable in mixed martial arts history, ultimately culminated in a pair of victories for Jon Jones.

“Bones” initially defeated Daniel Cormier at UFC 182 in January of 2015 via unanimous decision.

After some personal battles outside of the octagon, Jon Jones would once again return to the octagon to fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 in July of 2017.

Jones defeated “DC” via third-round knockout in their highly anticipated rematch. However, that victory was later overturned to a no-contest, this after it was revealed that Jon had flunked a drug test with USADA.

Since their most recent clash at UFC 214, Daniel Cormier has gone on to capture and hold both the UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight titles.

Despite his remarkable success, it would appear that DC” still needs to earn a win over Jones in order for many fans and analysts to consider him the “greatest of all time“.

Jon Jones took to Twitter earlier this evening where he responded to Daniel Cormier for some recent comments.

“Pinch of salt, no pinch of salt. You still had steroids in your system in a fist fight,” Cormier stated. “Not cool.”

Jon Jones followed that statement up by extending Daniel Cormier the following offer.

Fight me one more time and prove you’re actually the champ champ. I’ll donate $100,000 to a charity in San Diego if you accept. Conor McGregor was an actual double Champ, the whole world knows your claim is a freaking joke. You’re more than welcome to be my first title defense
