Jorge Masvidal fires back at ‘fake Brit and fake fighter’ Leon Edwards
Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal took some time off from the cage but now he’s ready to return. And rising contender Leon “Rocky” Edwards is ready to welcome him back into the mix.
After Masvidal made it clear that he only wanted a ranked opponent upon his return, Edwards let it be known that he was looking for a fight as well.

Masvidal: If you’re not ranked keep my name out your mouth #realisback
Edwards: I am ranked and called your name plenty of times, but you have every excuse. You’re ranked only 2 spots above me kid and you’re on a 2 fight losing streak. don’t be scared pussy!!

For Masvidal, his last fight came in November 2017 when he took on the two-time title challenger Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson at UFC 217. Unfortunately for Masvidal, he would suffer a unanimous decision loss that put him on a two-fight losing streak. The previous coming to Demian Maia.
Prior to the two-fight skid, Masvidal had seemingly hit his stride as he got on an impressive three-fight winning streak that saw him finish the likes of Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Jake Ellenberger with strikes.
As for Edwards, he’s got quite the momentum going right now yet he remains well under the radar. Having won six straight with his last coming over Cerrone in a thrilling five-round affair, Edwards has established himself as the dark horse at 170-pounds and one to keep an eye on each and every time out as he keeps on climbing the ladder.
