Jorge Masvidal offers to step in against Nate Diaz at UFC 230
Earlier this evening the MMA community was rocked by the unfortunate news that Dustin Poirier has been forced out of his anticipated lightweight contender bout with Nate Diaz, which was scheduled for UFC 230 this November 3 in New York City.
It did not take long for the MMA community to start brainstorming potential replacement opponents for Nate Diaz.
One fighter to quickly throw their name in the ring was UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal.
Although Masvidal has recently been flirting with a return to his former haunts in the UFC lightweight division, he stipulated that, if he is going to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 230, the fight will have to occur at welterweight as he won’t be able to make the lightweight division’s 155-pound limit in time for November 3.
Jorge Masvidal made this offer on Twitter on Tuesday night.
